Connect WooCommerce

Bring your WooCommerce customers and orders into Climails using your store's REST API credentials, then keep them fresh with signed webhooks from WordPress.

5 min read

What you'll need

  • A WooCommerce store URL
  • WooCommerce REST API keys (consumer key and secret)
  • Admin access to add a webhook in WordPress

Connect with API keys

  1. 1

Create REST API keys in WooCommerce

In WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, generate a consumer key and secret with read access.

  2. 2

    Open Integrations → WooCommerce

Enter your store URL, consumer key and secret. Climails validates them against your store's system status.

  3. 3

    Add a webhook in WordPress

Create a webhook in WooCommerce pointing at Climails and set the signing secret so live updates are verified.

What syncs

  • Customers — imported as contacts over the WooCommerce REST API.
  • Orders — created and updated orders flow in for segmentation and revenue.
  • Live updates — customer and order webhooks keep Climails current.
Webhook deliveries are verified with the WooCommerce signature (X-WC-Webhook-Signature), so only genuine events are accepted.

Frequently asked questions

Why does WooCommerce use keys instead of OAuth?

WooCommerce authenticates with REST API keys you generate in your store; Climails validates them on connect.

Do I have to set up the webhook manually?

Yes — WooCommerce webhooks are created in WordPress. Point one at Climails with the signing secret to enable live updates.
