Getting started

Build a lifecycle automation

Automations run a scenario for each contact in real time — welcome series, abandoned cart, win-back — without manual sends. Build the flow once and it works continuously.

What you'll need

  • A verified sending domain
  • A trigger source: a list, a segment, or product events from the API

Choose a trigger

  1. 1

    Open Automations → “New”

Start a new automation and pick what enrolls a contact.

  2. 2

    Select the trigger

Enroll on signup, when a contact joins a segment/list, on a schedule or date anchor, or on a product event sent through the API.

Build the flow on the canvas

Drag steps onto the visual graph to shape the journey.

  • Messages: send across any channel (email, SMS, push, …).
  • Waits: delay by minutes, hours or days.
  • Branches: split on attributes, events or A/B to take different paths.

Activate and monitor

  1. 1

    Activate

Switch the automation on; new enrollments start flowing immediately.

  2. 2

    Read the run logs

Open the per-run log to see exactly what happened for each contact: sent, waiting, branched, exited.

Re-entry rules control whether a contact can go through again — set once, allow, or cooldown to avoid loops.

Frequently asked questions

Can an automation use multiple channels?

Yes — each message step picks its own channel, so a single flow can mix email, SMS and push.

How do I trigger a flow from my app?

Send a product event to /v1/events; an automation with an event trigger enrolls the matching contact. See the API guide.

Will the same person be enrolled twice?

Only if you allow it. The re-entry setting defaults to once; you can permit re-entry or add a cooldown.
